Heart Internet have a simple SSL ordering and installation process.
Before placing an order for a customer, make sure you have the following:
- Full domain owner details - name, address, email, phone number
- Have access to, or can have email forwarded to us for the admin@ email address the domain belongs to
Once we have those conditions set, we can go ahead and order through the shopping cart process.
If the website is hosted on one of our Managed VPS Servers, then choose this option.
If the website is hosted on our Cloud Shared Hosting, then choose that from the options.
Use the order form, choosing the SSL Certificate Type requested by the customer.
Remember the admin@ email address MUST be in place before you do this!
Choose Direct Debit as the Payment Method - these certificates are renewed annually (and the admin@ email goes out annually too!)
Proceed to the shopping cart in the normal way and check out.
The admin@ email should now be checked for the message from Starfield Technologies to authorise the installation of the SSL
Within the hour, Heart Internet will install the SSL Certificate!
An email will come from Heart Internet to confirm this.
VPS Certificate installations will be notified by a Heart Internet Support Ticket.
Finally, the site can be aligned to https and show the green padlock in the browser
