This guide will help you set up Office 365 including Downloading and assigning Products and Licenses
Once you have activated your license(s) through the Cloud Marketplace, you will then need to administer these via your Microsoft Online Services Portal. To access this page you will need the login details that are included within your Cloud Marketplace under the ‘Microsoft Online Admin Login’ column and your temporary password that was included within your ‘order complete’ confirmation email.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be asked to change your temporary password upon initial sign in to your Microsoft Online Services Portal.
1. To access the Microsoft Online Services Portal, click here.
2. Enter your username and password as indicated. These details were sent to you within the confirmation email that you received once your services has been made active within the Cloud Marketplace.
3. Upon your initial login, you will be asked to change your password. Please keep a safe note of this as we will have no way of retrieving this password at a later date. Enter the information as required. You may then be asked to supply information should you forget your password in the future. Enter this information if applicable.
4. Next, you will be taken to the Microsoft Online Service Portal dashboard. You can now view all of your available licences under the ‘Licences’ section, which can found under ‘Billing’ via the left hand side menu. To add additional licences, you will need to add these via your Cloud Marketplace. Click here (link to adding licenses) for further instructions.
5. For further instructions about how to use your Microsoft Online Services Portal, use the ‘Search’ function in the top left hand corner of the screen. You can also use the ‘?’ icon in the top right hand corner.

Downloading Office Licenses
When downloading your Office licences there are x2 ways in which this can be done:
1. Using ‘.onmicrosoft’ Domain
2. Using Clients Own Domain
Using ‘.onmicrosoft’ Domain
Once your Office 365 Business licence(s) have been activated via the Cloud Marketplace, you can follow the below instructions to install the Office 365 Application onto your client’s device.
1. Sign in to your clients Microsoft Online Service Portal using the admin credentials for that Tenant/Organisation. PLEASE NOTE: If you do not know their admin credentials you will need to ask your client to follow the below instructions.
2. Once you have logged in, click the menu button (square icon) in the top left hand corner of the homepage and click ‘Admin‘. Once you have accessed this page, click ‘Users‘ from the left hand menu. Then click ‘Active Users‘.
3. Now, you will need to create each new user. To do this, select the ‘+‘ icon and complete the details as indicated.
First Name: Enter the user’s first name
Last Name: Enter the users last name
User Name: Enter the username for this user. This will automatically be followed by the .onmicrosoft.com domain for the organization.
Make this person change their password the next time they sign in: Select the option if you wish for the user to be prompted to change their password the next time they sign in
Email password to the following recipients: Enter the email addresses of anyone who you wish to recieve the password. We would advise sending a copy to yourself.
Select Licences for each user: Available licences will automatically be listed in the ‘Select licenses for this user:’ box. If you have more than one licence available select the licence that you wish to assign to this user. If you only have 1 licence available this will automatically be assigned to this user.
Once you have added all of the information required, click ‘Create‘.
4. You will then be shown the ‘User Successfully Created’ screen. Take note of the details shown on here. Repeat the above process for every new user that you wish to add.
5. Next, you are ready to download the service onto your client’s device. To do this, you will need to login to the Microsoft Online Service Portal via http://portal.office.com as the end user. Once you have logged in, the available service can be viewed on the homepage. Click the ‘Install Now‘ button to begin download.
Using Clients Own Domain
Once your Office 365 Business licence(s) have been activated via your Cloud Platform, you can follow the below instructions to install the Office 365 Application onto your clients device.
1. Sign in to your clients Microsoft Online Service Portal using the credentials for that Tenant/Organisation. PLEASE NOTE: If you do not know their credentials you will need to ask your clients to follow the below instructions.
2. Once you have logged in, click the menu button (square icon) in the top left hand corner of the homepage and click ‘Admin‘. Once you have accessed this page, click ‘Domains’ from the left hand menu. Then click the ‘+‘ symbol to add a domain.
3. Next, you will be taken to the ‘Add a new domain in Office 365’ screen. Now click ‘Let’s get started‘ to continue.
4. Type in the client’s current domain in the box as indicated. Click ‘Next‘.
5. Now you will be asked to add a TXT record to this domain. For further information you can also click the ‘Step by step for adding a TXT record’ link. When you’ve done this, click ‘Okay, i’ve added the record‘ to proceed.
6. Next you will see a confirmation screen which clarifies that you own the domain. Click ‘Next‘ to continue.
7. You will then be asked to select the current users that you wish to update the email addresses of. Use the tick box to the left hand side of each user to determine those that you wish to update. Then click ‘Update selected users‘.
PLEASE NOTE: If you chose to change a user’s address then the username login for the MOSP will change to this address also. The password will remain the same.
8. Next you will receive confirmation that the selected users have been successfully updated. Click ‘Next‘.
9. Now you will be asked if you wish to add any new users to the organisation at this stage. Click ‘Next‘.
10. In the next screen you will be asked if you would like to update your DNS records. As you are not changing DNS for this product, click ‘Next‘. You will also be asked if you would like Office 365 to set up a DNS for you. Ensure that the ‘No’ box is selected and then click ‘Next‘.
11. You will now be asked which services you want to use with the domain. As you are installing the Office package you do not require any further changes. Ensure that you deselect ALL options and then click ‘Next.’
12. A confirmation screen will then appear. Click ‘Finish‘
13. Now, you will either need to assign licenses to existing users or create new users and assign the appropriate license. To create new users, select ‘Users‘ from the left hand menu and then click the ‘Active Users‘ option. Next, select the ‘+‘ icon and complete the details as indicated.
First Name: Enter the user’s first name
Last Name: Enter the user’s last name
User Name: Enter the username for this user. Use the dropdown option to select the relevant domain for the organization.
Make this person change their password the next time they sign in: Select the option if you wish for the user to be prompted to change their password the next time they sign in
Email password to the following recipients: Enter the email addresses of anyone who you wish to receive the password. We would advise sending a copy to yourself.
Select Licences for each user: Available licences will automatically be listed in the ‘Select licenses for this user:’ box. If you have more than one licence available select the licence that you wish to assign to this user. If you only have 1 licence available this will automatically be assigned to this user.
Once you have added all of the information required, click ‘Create‘.
14. You will then be shown the ‘User Successfully Created‘ screen. Take note of the details shown on here. Repeat the above process for every new user that you wish to add.
To add licenses to existing users, click ‘Users‘ in the left hand column of the page. Then select ‘Active Users‘ and select the required user using the tick box which is located next to their details. Select ‘Edit‘ from the right hand side menu. Click ‘licenses and then tick the license that you wish to assign to this user. Click ‘Save‘.
15. Next, you are ready to download the service onto your client’s device. To do this, you will need to login to their Microsoft Online Service Portal via http://portal.office.com. Once you have logged in, the available service can be viewed on the homepage. Click the ‘Install Now‘ button to begin download.
